London Mayor Boris Johnson avoided becoming a home office statistic after he narrowly avoided being struck by a truck.
Johnson, along with transport minister Lord Adonis and his director of transport Kulveer Ranger, was out surveying the streets of London as part of his proposed plans for a cycling ‘super highway’ throughout the capital when a truck overtook the group causing a massive accident.
As the lorry overtook Johnson and his men the rear doors accidentally flung open, dragging a parked car across the path of the cyclists. A confused Boris, still clutching his cycling helmet, can later been seen on the CCTV footage below looking at the wreckage.
