Hamann calls its latest 7-series customisation project ‘a refining programme’, although afficionados of Bimmer’s luxury saloon may be unconvinced by the results.
With a new package of body revisions purportedly aimed at optimising airflow across the four-door’s silhouette, the Hamann look is definitely more aggressive, with a new front spoiler (incorporating daytime running lights), side skirts, and rear spoilers on both the boot lid and the roof.
There’s also a new rear valance treatment that allows for the fitting of Hamann’s quad-tailpipe upgrade – apparently the big 90mm outlets produce a ‘powerful, earthy sound’ – although a performance enhancing exhaust is also available for the 730d model, offering a 45hp upgrade to 290hp.
There’s a 40mm lowering-job thanks to a new set of springs, and Hamann has also managed to squeeze a set of 22in alloys under the arches.
As the icing on your big BMW cake, Hamann offers the chance to dress up the interior with alloy pedals and a set of embroidered floor mats. Er... yummy!
