Mostly cosmetic tweaks for M3 Edition
If ever there was a car with the gravitas to carry off a special edition without having to go to the trouble of actually naming it, the BMW M3 is it. Now, with the new M3 Edition, BMW is testing that theory.
Rarity will be assured, with BMW producing the M3 Edition for just six months. Those hoping for a bit more go from the M3 will be disappointed, though, as the M3 Edition gets strictly cosmetic tweaks.
Most noticeable are the forged 19-inch double-spoke alloys, especially finished in the optional black, while the suspension has been dropped by 10mm. Other exterior tweaks include the kidney grille, side gills and exhaust tips finished in dark chrome.
Choose Alpine White or black (Dakar yellow and Monte Carlo blue are also available), and the centre console and door armrest leather is finished in the same colour as the exterior paintwork.
Other tweaks to the interior include kickplates with a chequered flag design, and twin vertical stripes on the front of the leg rest and upper part of the back rest of the front seats.
The BMW M3 Edition starts from £53,345, a £3k premium over the standard car.
