Can you tell what it is yet?
In typically mysterious fashion, Bentley has released this 'teaser' image of the replacement for the venerable Arnage saloon.
The new car, which Crewe describes as the 'all-new Grand Bentley', is likely to be the first fruit of a new era for Bentley design and engineering and will use spaceframe chassis technology closely related to that used by sister brand Audi. This should allow the new saloon to shed around 150kg compared with its Arnage predecessor.
The new Bentley will be unveiled properly later this summer and, Bentley says, will be 'exceptional in all respects on the road' and 'the purest expression of the Bentley spirit'.
As you can see, the official teaser doesn't reveal much about the look of the new car, although a tapering clamshell bonnet, similar to the bonnets on the Flying Spur and Continental GT is evident.
The imposing nature of the new car is also evident in the powerful ridges eunning across the tops of the front wings.
We'll have to wait for the official unveiling to find out more, but PH suspects that the successor to the Arnage will feel as imposing and British as Blenheim Palace.
