Any PHers not attending Le Mans this year and wanting a bit of motoring-related excitement may find the 2009 Lotus Festival a welcome distraction.
The event takes place at the world-famous marque's local track, Snetterton, on the 14th June. As well as trade stands, parades and displays of Lotus cars past and present, including the all-new Evora, there will be demonstrations celebrating Lotus history and the Lotus Formula One team, in-between exciting racing action showcasing the popular Elise Trophy series.
This time the racers are up against the world's fastest man, Wing

Commander Andy Green OBE. Taking a break from preparing to be the first man to break the 1,000mph barrier on land, Andy will be taking part in his first ever race. Andy will also be leading a much more sedate world record attempt: the largest number of Lotus cars in a moving parade, with over 500 Lotus cars joining in.
