Texan tuner Hennessey has come up with a supercharged version of the Chevrolet Camaro, giving Camaro fans a properly muscular version of the Camaro, whether or not GM decides to build a Z28 version...
The HPE550 gets a supercharger system making 6 psi of boost combined with a Corsa stainless steel exhaust system and custom engine management calibration to produce 562bhp and 557lb ft.
Hennessey claims 0-60mph in 4.1 secs and the quarter-mile in an impressive 12.1 seconds at 119mph.
0-60 is dealt with in just 4.1secs
On top of the performance upgrades, Hennessey adds a set of light weight 20-inch wheels, an adjustable coilover suspension system, HPE550 embroidered seat headrests, a Hennessey graphics package and premium floor mats.
"The HPE550 upgrade package gives 2010 Camaro owners the kind of power and performance they want to match the true muscle car look and spirit of the new Camaro," says John Hennessey, President and CEO of Hennessey Performance Engineering.
