Like an 8C? Squint and you can see it...
The first images of the finished Alfa Romeo Milano - the replacement for the Alfa 147 – have leaked onto the internet after being posted on Facebook.
Like the Recent Mito, the styling influence of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is evident, though we suspect the similarities end there.
The Milano also continues with the recent Alfa Romeo tradition of hidden rear door handles for a more sporty appearance.
The platform for the Milano, called the C-Evo, underpins the Fiat Group’s medium-sized family cars could be used as the basis for a series of forthcoming Chrysler Group models, including the replacement for the Chrysler Sebring.
More intriguingly, however, it has been reported that the car should be available with an all-new twin-clutch gearbox called AMT.
The Milano, which is expected on sale at the beginning of next year, also marks a move away from numbers as a model naming strategy – and the replacement for the 159 is likely to follow that pattern to take the name Giulia.
