These images of next year’s facelifted Fiat Punto supermini have been leaked onto the web, revealing the car’s nose-job and other mid-life design tweaks completely undisguised.
The photos show that the mini-Maserati front-end of the current Grande Punto has been ditched in favour of a frankly fussier look, with the Fiat badge pushed up towards the leading edge of the bonnet and a gaping, Peugeot 207-esque front grille and bumper arrangement.
At the rear, the tail lights have also been mildly restyled to mirror the look of the light clusters on the Punto Abarth.
Inside, the Punto’s dash has been heavily revised with a Bravo-inspired look, including cowled instruments. The centre console also gets new audio and ventilation controls.
It’s likely that the freshened-up Punto will get a revised engine line-up that will feature Fiat’s new generation of ‘Multi-air’ petrol engines, though Fiat hasn’t released any official details of its updated Punto.
