Whenever I go on the Euro Tunnel, I usually get stuck between Mr & Mrs Average on their way to the hypermarket. Someone even went into the back of me once when they started their car in gear.
PH Editor Chris had a lot more luck than me as he made the crossing a few hours ago in a Jaguar XFR headed for the Nurburgring along with PHer trackdemon. As he got out to stretch his legs he noticed this car parked in the same carriage, and wandering over to take a closer look he realised that it was Aston's four-door Panamera rival the Rapide. Ever the pro, Chris took his 2001 Nokia out of his pocket and took this slightly wobbly image (he blames the rocking of the train) and sent it straight back to PHHQ. Even with the low quality image, it's clear to see that this is a very pretty car indeed and appears to have a DBS following behind, too. We wonder if Chris will catch up with this car at the 'Ring later on today?
Speaking of catching up, the chaps apparently gave chase to the Astons as they left the terminal and, with 503bhp, the Jag was able to keep pace, enabling snapper Mr Demon to take some better-quality pictures. The flies on the screen of the XFR meant that the snaps will need some editing before we can publish them, but keep an eye out for this story as we hope to add them very soon. Have a nice trip guys; don't work too hard.
