Vorsprung Durch the Ultimate Driving Machine...
In the world of automotive sacrilege, it doesn't come more extreme than this. This utterly unbelievable Russian-registered Audi R8 with - yes, you see it right - a BMW badge instead of an Audi has been doing the rounds on the web this weekend.
We're not entirely convinced that this automotive Liverpool player in a Man United strip isn't a clever piece of photoshop skulduggery - if only because we can't work out why on earth anybody would want to do it.
Assuming for a moment that it is real (and the photoshopping is certainly beyond the admittedly fairly limited abilities of the PH team), you have to admit that the owner has gone to some effort. Not only has he placed BMW badges on the boot, bonnet and engine cover (including an entirely inexplicable 850i badge), he has also apparently gone to some lengths to remove the pair of Audi rings from the engine cover.
We just can't understand it. I mean, if you want a mid-engined BMW, buy an old M1. If you want a fast modern BMW, buy an M6. And if you want an R8, for God's sake buy an R8 and leave it be!
Then again maybe he's got an M3 parked at home with TT RS badges...
