Clubster S is rear-driver
With BMW rumoured to be whipping the sheets off its own Mini speedster concept at the Frankfurt show next month, we couldn't resist sharing this alternative interpretation by Richard Mitchell, a recent graduate from the renowned San Francisco automotive design school.
BMW's version is likely to be a hatchet job based on the Mini Coupe Concept revealed a couple of days back, but Mitchell has taken a different tack by basing his concept on the rear-drive platform of the BMW 1-series - giving his machine a longer profile than the stubby Bavarian coupe, and the potential for some proper tail-happy handling.
Unfortunately, as Richard's Clubster S exists only as renderings and a 1:5 scale clay model, the only person ever likely to drive it is Morph. The rest of us will have to wait for Frankfurt.
