Citroen has released some teaser shots of a new hatchback that appears to hark back to the 2CV.
The new hatchback - due to be revealed at Frankfurt - appears to be a five-door, but the lack of a significant B-pillar makes us think that centrally opening 'suicide doors' may be on the cards.
This concept could be a clue to a replacement for its C2 supermini or the second car in Citroen's new 'DS' line that the DS3 kicked off earlier this year.
If this modern 2CV is the next DS - it could be called the DS2 - it would be Citroen's belated answer to modern luxury small car luminaries such as the Mini and Fiat 500. Perhaps even a canvas-roofed
to the famous 'Wendyhouse' 2CV could be on the cards..
