When a company comes along that honours the Porsche 911 by creating one that takes the best bits of 40 years of the Stuttgart icon, we reckon it’s worth celebrating that fact in pictures.
Here for your delectation, then, is a hi-res image of Singer’s ‘re-imagined’ Porsche 911, a car we originally told you about earlier this week.
In essence, this is a Porsche that takes its looks from the early years, flared arches from the RSR, suspension from the Carrera SC and an engine from the 993 (except bored out to 3.8-litres and with 425bhp. That means 0-60mph in 3.9secs, 0-100mph in 8.5secs and a top speed in excess of 170mph.
Oh, and just in case there are any 911 purists out there spitting blood at this point, we do apologise for reminding you about the Singer. But PH has voted with its mice, you see – the Singer has (so far) scored an average of 8.65 out of 10 on our new patent-pending P.H. O’Meter.
