The Rolls-Royce Sunday Service is nearly upon us and, as Sunday approaches, here are some more details on what will happen on the day.
As security is tight at Rolls-Royce, the gates to the PistonHeads parking area will not open until 09.00 so please do your best to arrive no earlier. After 09.00 the gates will be open for guests to come and go as they please. We do need to clear the venue by 13.00 sharp, so do bear that in mind if you plan to arrive later in the day.
PistonHeads and Rolls-Royce staff will be on hand to direct you towards a parking area, so please be ready to stop and receive these directions as you enter.
Entrance to the Sunday Service will be via the Stane Street gate and not The Drive. Please see the attached map for full details, as this is not the main entrance that many of you know. Do not use the entrance marked as visitors, but head to the 'works' entrance as highlighted on the map.
Breakfast will be available within the main building, with everything from hot and cold drinks through to bacon rolls and chocolate bars. In addition to this, the Rolls-Royce shop will be open too.
Various cars will be on display from the RR collection, and while the factory will not be open (due to the new Ghost being built on there) you will still be able to see a large part of the Phantom production line through the glass viewing windows.
As with any Sunday Service, the members' cars are a big part of the day and just by looking at the list of cars attending it appears that we have some fantastic cars coming along. The team at Rolls-Royce have found some extra space for us, but please be aware that space is strictly limited to 350 cars as a maximum. Natural churn usually happens as early arrivals leave and later arrivals take their place, but it would help us if you could add your name to the existing list if you have any intention of attending.
This is a very rare opportunity for PHers to get so close to the factory, the cars and the Rolls-Royce team and we are very grateful for their hospitality. Please respect the security team's requests if they ask you to do anything. Most importantly, though - enjoy the morning.
