FIAT 500 FUNNY CAR AT SEMA

725hp V8 powered pocket-racer revealed at US tuner show

Proving you can squeeze a quart into a pint pot is US custom builder Legacy Innovations with this fabulous 427 small-block V8 powered take on a classic '59 Fiat.

The flip-up bodied funny car features a chrome-moly tube chassis, hinged at the back, while the steel body itself is relatively stock apart from that big hole in the bonnet.

According to the builders, the car makes 725hp, which it puts onto the dragstrip through a pair of giant Hoosier slicks with the help of a set of 'wheelie bars' that effectively double the 500's length.
