A bizarre video of a Volvo covered in electric fish has appeared on YouTube. The 'shocking' footage shows an American Volvo 240 covered with electric motorised plastic fish. That sing.
During the clip, owner/designer Richard Carter (surely a name to watch in the future of car design) reveals the inspiration behind his elegant concept, along with such fascinating factoids as why just one or two fish would be 'too subtle', and why electric fish make good speedometers - all set to the graceful harmonies of the 'Sashimi Tabernacle Choir' singing - what else - but 'Hooked On A Feeling'...
In a phrase sure to become as much a part of motoring history as Henry Ford's "any colour you want as long as its black", Mr Carter describes the electric fish as "very annoying".
Oh - and before the cries of 'slow news day' begin, lets just be clear that no news day is ever too 'fast' for Volvos covered in singing fish. Ever. Probably.
(Thanks to Jalopnik for pointing this one out!)
