Imitation, they say, is the sincerest form of flattery. If that's the case, then Rolls-Royce must be one of the most flattered brands on earth, with imitators that range from the conceptual copy (Maybach), to the eccentrically bizarre (Geely GE three-seater limo), to the down right inexplicable.
There are no prizes for guessing which category this creation falls into. This homage to 'the best car in the world' apparently comes from Kazakhstan (at least the registration plate does) and is based on W124 Mercedes E-class underpinnings.
Considering Kazakhstan isn't known for its custom car industry, the Merc-based Phantom-alike isn't actually a bad job - it's even got rearward opening 'suicide' doors for the backseat passengers.
Unfortunately the driver seems to be most keen on showing off his ability to do a burnout in the snow (now there's a challenge) than displaying the car's dynamic prowess. The exhaust note is more six-pot hot rod than woofly V12, too, but you can't have everything. At least it's not been built around a 300D...
