Dragster is inches from Andy Willsheer
A British photographer has escaped unhurt after a 250mph dragster spun out of control just inches from where he was standing.
The spectacular display of stiff upper lip happened at the Pomona raceway in California after the rear tyres of Steve Gasparelli's dragster hit a pool of oil, spinning the car out of control.
The car veered across the track towards photographer Andy Willsheer, slamming into the barrier inches away from the photographer's position before coming to rest upside down just three feet away.
Driver Gasparelli escaped without injury.
