As its Christmas we thought it would be good if we allowed them to tell you a little bit about themselves. Yes it’s a free advert - but we like to bend our own rules occasionally!

2009 has been quite a rollercoaster of a year in the used car market. Dealers across all car marques have felt the pinch, and whilst the bottom end of the market has held its value, some prestige vehicle values have dropped so much that even more people could afford them than usual.
The PistonHeads HPI Check has gone from strength to strength over the year; of the cars you checked: 9% were on finance, 8% had been written off, and 46% had cherished plates. In the last 12 months we checked 194 Porsche, 76 Lotus, 42 TVR, 24 Ferrari, 13 Maserati , 6 Lambo’s and a New Holland tractor through PH, although how that crept into the list is anyone’s guess – don’t remember seeing that as a section in the classifieds…?
We’re looking forward to supporting PH and PHers with their motoring adventures throughout 2010 (minus tractors) – happy new year from all of us at HPI!
In the current economic climate a lot of motorists have decided to keep their cars for longer. This might not be good news for new car sellers but it has certainly helped both the used car and extended warranty market.

Adrian Flux has enjoyed a successful first few months as the recommended insurance provider for Pistonheads.com. Over the past 10 months we have provided PHers with over 30,000 quotes, either online or via the website, and put over 500 PHers on cover. We have insured numerous cars, with the most popular being Porsche 911’s, TVR Chimaera’s and BMW M3’s, as well as providing help and advice to many users on the PH forums.
The launch of the Adrian Flux Pistonheads Widget has further enabled PHers to generate an estimated price for any vehicle they may be interested in purchasing. The widget has proven extremely useful on the site with over 100,000 PHers obtaining an insurance estimate in the past 3 months.
We are very much looking forward to meeting PHers and their vehicles at the Pistonheads show in January. Flux will be offering free insurance quotes on our stand and our quotes team will be providing insurance advice. We will also have a special car displayed on the stand which I’m sure will generate a few admiring glances!
Following a fantastic first 10 months we are looking forward to developing our relationship with Pistonheads throughout 2010.

2010 is going to be an exciting year for Petrolhead Nirvana and PistonHeads.
The 2010 tour calendar has now been finalised; we’ll be taking PHers to Europe, Scandinavia and the U.S.A. driving the best roads in the company of fellow car nuts.
