This blobby, blurry sketch is the first image of VW's Detroit show concept car, a car that will preview the new VW Jetta Coupe.
The Jetta Coupe, which has also been dubbed NCC (or New Compact Coupe) will be built in South America is intended primarily for the US market, which doesn't get the VW Scirocco.
The concept is said to be close to the final production car, and will be fitted with a suitably modish 'green' engine - think small, with four cylinders, or something hybrid-shaped.
There's no word yet on whether the new car is coming to the UK. There aren't even any official technical details, but we'll be sure to bring you more information on the new VW coupe, along with pics live from the show, as they come in.
