Racing constructor Zytek Engineering is opening its factory doors this weekend in an effort to raise money for the Haiti earthquake relief effort.
Zytek builds LMP1 sports prototype racing engine and chassis. This year it is building the LMP1 Ginetta that Nigel Mansell and his two sons will be using to compete in the 2010 ALMS series.
Zytek is planning to open its engine/chassis facility in Repton, Derbyshire tomorrow (Saturday) for a tour. Arrival time is around 10.30am for a two-hour tour, and possibly a coffee and a biscuit at the end.
If you're interested, Zytek is asking for a minimum donation of £10 per person, but numbers are limited to around 20 and places will allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you want to have a butcher's around the Zytek facility in the name of a good cause, then drop an e-mail to andy.young@zytek.co.uk.
UPDATE: Zytek's first charity tour was such a success that they're opening their doors again this Saturday (30th Jan) see the comments thread below for the latest information.
