Ferrari has announced a new two year 'factory' warranty on all cars sold by dealers through its approved used scheme, which is an upgrade on the 12 months previously offered.
The warranty cover - which Ferrari claims is industry-leading - includes the usual caveats over maintenance and servicing (i.e. you've got to do it 'by the book'), but is available on all Ferrari models up to eight years old when the original warranty expires.
The cover is the same as the new car warranty, and is under-written by Ferrari itself and not a third party insurer.
On top of the new cover, customers of the approved used scheme will also receive a free subscription to the Ferrari magazine (whoop, whoop!), as well as Ferrari roadside assistance for the duration.
Although we're not in the market (pending ongoing discussions about the 'team PH' remuneration package...), we're guessing 24 months of warranty cover could be a powerful draw when it comes to tempting novice - and quite possibly nervous - owners into the Ferrari fold.
