Bertone's Pandion concept...
Italian design house Stile Bertone is to unveil a sharp-looking Alfa Romeo sports car concept called the Pandion, as these leaked pictures reveal.
There are few details on the Pandion, other than the fact that it is based on the chassis and running gear of the Alfa Romeo 8C, that it has been designed to celebrate Alfa's centenary year, and that there are no plans for production.
Oh, and that it bears a curiously strong resemblance to the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics supercar concept from the 2009 Frankfurt show...
...Pininfarina's offering is a bit more 'sketchy'
Stile Bertone - which separated from the carozzeria part of the business when Fiat bought out Bertone's manufacturing activities last year - won't be the only Italian stylist with an Alfa concept celebrating the marque's 100th birthday.
Pininfarina is also set to reveal a two-seater spider concept, but so far we only have this official sketch (right) as a guide to what the show car will actually look like.
