This is Fiat's latest Abarth Punto, set to make its debut at the Geneva show.
Fiat may have done rather nasty things visually to the Punto with its recent moustachey, gapey facelift thingy, but at least there are some tweaks to the Abarth Punto to compensate.
Like its more meek brethren, the Abarth Punto hot hatch may still have a face that only a mother could love (In PH's humble opinion), but beneath the slightly uglier exterior beats a new heart.
Out goes the 153bhp T-jet 1.4-litre motor from the original Punto Abarth in favour of a brand new engine of the same capacity.
This new Multiair motor uses Fiat's clever hydraulically activated valve technology and gets 163bhp, 10 more than the old car had. An Esseesse performance pack is also available which puts power up to 178bhp.
