A roofless Bentley Continental GTC Supersports has been unveiled by the boys and girls from Crewe.
The Continental GTC Supersports (a suffix only given to the fastest Bentleys) comes packing the same 621bhp at 6000rpm, and 590lb ft of torque between 2000-4500rpm from its turbocharged W12 as the standard GT Supersports.
As well as a power boost over the Continental GTC Speed, the Supersports has lost a bit of chunk. At 90kgs less than the GTC Speed, it'll now hit 62mph in 3.9secs, 100mph in 9.6secs and top out at 202mph. Sounds like a recipe for a bad hair day!
Bentley has also fiddled with the transmission on the Supersports, and shift times are down 50 per cent. The 4WD system has a 40/60 per cent front/rear bias.
The Supersports also features Bentley's FlexFuel system - which means it can run on E85 bioethanol, reducing 'well to wheel' emissions by up to 70 per cent, they say. This system will trickle down to the rest of the Bentley range eventually, but does anybody really care?
Expect the GTC Supersports to retail at near £200,000 when it launches later this year.
