The all-new S60 is set to be Volvo's star turn at this year's Geneva show. So far, so dull. But this blurry image and pair of teaser videos are a hint that Volvo may have something interesting up its corporate sleeve in the form of a sporty S60.
"Naughty Volvos are coming", suggests the tag line. Now, we're not quite sure what that means - whether it's a full-blown 'R' model, a 'sports' package, a concept or just a Volvo that's tardy with its homework. Most likely is that we're being given a sneak-preview of the expected 300bhp T6 range-topper.
Whatever the answer, we reckon that Volvo hasn't created a truly naughty car since the 850R of the mid-90s, so we're not too optimistic about exactly what Geneva will bring, but hope springs eternal.
The S60 is probably the last Volvo to be revealed before the company is brought under the Chinese custodianship of Geely Motors after more than a decade of Ford ownership - so we presume the cat in the first video is a tacit nod to Volvo's new owners.
