Abarth had quite a modest stand at Geneva - and a deliberately long way from Fiat's main stand - but a couple of significant models to show off. On display were the hot version of the new Punto Evo, and an Abarth version of the Fiat 500C.
The new two-tone Abarth 500C gets a six-speed automated manual gearbox with flappy paddles. Motive power comes from the same 1.4-litre T-jet turbo motor as the 500 Abarth hatch, but with 138bhp rather than 133bhp - and the tin-top version won't get the more powerful motor. Shame.
The Abarth Punto now gets the new Fiat Group Multiair technology first seen in the Alfa Romeo Mito. That car's 1.4-litre turbo makes 163bhp - up 10bhp on the old Abarth Punto.
