Lexus has revealed a range of revisions for its IS F super-saloon, the highlight of which is the addition of a limited-slip differential as standard equipment.
The extra traction offered by the Torsen LSD is enough, according to Lexus's chassis engineers, to shave two seconds from the car's lap time at Fuji Speedway.
The IS F's power and performance is unchanged, however. Still, there's not much need for that with the 417bhp, 372lb ft V8 already offering 0-62mph in 4.8secs and an electronically limited top speed of 168mph.
Other changes for 2010 include a new sat-nav system powered by a 40GB hard disk drive that also allows 10GB-worth of space for music storage, DAB for the Mark Levinson stereo, and a USB port to connect MP3 devices (previously only an aux-in jack was available).
There is also now the option of white leather upholstery rather than the standard black finish (mmmm...classy) and new 'mesh design' alloys.
