Is Subaru getting brave again? This teaser shot of the updated WRX STi certainly seems to suggest so.
A full-on WRC-style rear wing could be part of the updated STi package, which will be unwrapped at the New York motor show on Thursday.
We've already shown you the new wide-bodied version of the humbler WRX, but the new wing seems like it could be reserved solely for the 300bhp STi version.
There are also whispers of an STi version of the four-door saloon, but it's likely that anything like that won't make it to the UK.
Either way, it's nice to see a big wing back on a fast Impreza - Subaru might not be a company that can do beautiful, and its WRC glory might be firmly in the past, but a bit of attitude in its line-up will be most welcome.
