The new Cosworth-tuned Subaru Impreza will cover the 0-62mph in an internal-organ-rearranging 3.7secs when it officially goes on sale in June, Subaru has revealed.
The new car, which will be badged as the Cosworth Impreza STI CS400, will deliver 395bhp at 5750rpm, allowing it to shave 1.5secs from the standard 296bhp STi's sprint to 62mph. Helping to calm things down again will be a bespoke AP Racing-designed brake set-up, with front discs measuring 355mm and six-piston callipers.
Subaru is keeping tight-lipped about any further details of the CS400, but does say that "A wide range of further upgrades have been made to the suspension, exhaust and to the donor Impreza's exterior and interior styling".
The CS400 production run will be limited to 75 cars, and full details of pricing and the car's spec (as well as some pics, we hope) will be revealed closer to the on-sale date, says Subaru.
