Two of PH's favourite roadsters - the evergreen Mazda MX-5 and the even-more-evergreen Caterham Seven - were involved in aerial photography antics last weekend, with the Mazda earning a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for its trouble.
The Mazda contingent managed to gather together 459 vehicles in Essen, Germany to form officially the longest continuous parade of MX-5s ever (and to make a pretty car park picture or two).
Although the bulk of the participants came from Germany, there were MX-5s from a total of 17 countries, gathered to wallop the previous record of 249 cars, which was set in New Zealand.
A rather more aesthetically interesting gathering happened on the Stow Maries Aerodrome in Essex, where 236 members of the Lotus 7 Club stopped off for a photo op as part of the Graham Nearn Memorial Blat - with what we're sure you'll agree are artistically satisfying results.
