Festival of Speed 2011 dates: 1-3 July
Moving Motor Show: 30th June
Goodwood has confirmed that next year's Festival of Speed will feature a re-run of the Moving Motor Show, in spite of 'teething troubles' this year when
a few unfortunates were run over
by a wayward Honda Civic.
So we're guessing there'll be a few modifications to the event in 2011, or at least an amendment to the wording on the entry tickets. 'Motor Shows can be dangerous', perhaps? (Ho-hum. There goes our invitation... Ed.)
Seriously though folks, it's time to get those 2011 calendars out because the announcement today includes provisional dates for three, er... make that two of our favourite days out of the year - the Festival of Speed itself and the Goodwood Revival.
The FoS is scheduled for the 1-3 July, which is the same weekend as the last two years. The theme for the event is still being finalised and will be announced in the coming weeks, says the organiser Lord March. (The
Moving Motor Show
day will be Thursday 30th June.)
The equally fabulous Goodwood Revival is scheduled for the weekend of 16-18 September, and as in previous years entry to all three events will be by advance ticket only. You can order yours here.
