The New Stratos recreation has appeared in classic Alitalia rally livery during the car’s official presentation at the Paul Ricard circuit in France.
Only one official picture of the full-scale mock up has been released, but it also appears briefly in the event video on the official website here.
We can’t share that one with you for technical reasons, but no matter - here’s a ‘Pure Engine Sound’ tribute to the original rally Stratos via amjayes on YouTube, where the classic Alitalia livery makes several appearances.
Meanwhile, we can but wonder what purpose New Stratos project backers Michael and Maximillian Stroschek have in teasing us this way…
