SLR nosejob for Mansory SLS...
You've got to feel sorry for the AMG engineers. They've spent the last few years slaving away to create a superb super-car in the SLS - their first proper stand alone product, free from the political shackles that blighted the SLR - and then the result of their exertions becomes the number one choice for those with plenty of, err, 'imagination' and the funds to fritter away at leisure on needless pieces of carbon fibre.
For proof, look no further than exhibit A, the Mansory 'Cormeum' - a car that according to the company's brochure 'leaves few reminders of the Mercedes SLS AMG'. Given the glowing reports the SLS has collected from just about every reviewer so far, that seems a somewhat high-risk strategy. And in a move that has surely got those AMG engineers rolling their eyes in their heads, Mansory has fitted a nose structure that looks a lot like the old SLR. Happy days.
...and a suitably subtle wing.
Not to be outdone, Hamann presents the Hawk, an SLS dripping in 'chequered flag' pattern carbon fibre and some very odd paint. A new exhaust, air filter and remap is said to increase the 6.2-litre V8's power to 636hp, but the body addenda is a bit more subtle than the Mansory (with emphasis on the 'bit').
Finally, we give you Switzerland's finest: the Fab Design SLS Gullstream. Words aren't really required with this one - the pictures say it all. It has a bit more power (615hp), but we'll let the company sum up its product: 'That's FABulous - that's Gullstream'. You wait 'til you see their Cayenne...
