Don't drive like this if you want the job
As enjoyable jobs for petrolheads go, a gig in motoring journalism ain't a bad way to make a living. We get to drive exotic cars in interesting places, which is pretty nice, really.
But what if you can't (or don't want to) write about the experience afterwards?
It doesn't stop some PH staffers, you might say (but only if you were being cruel). Even so, how about a job where you get to drive all manner of supercars and - er - that's it...?
Sounds too good to be true, but Staffordshire-based repairacar.co.uk is actually looking for someone to shuttle supercars between owners and workshops.
The job of Delivery Driver (Supercar Class) will mean the opportunity to drive all sorts of supercars (think Aston, Porsche, Ferrari and even possibly Pagani or Bugatti), which is genuinely fab, but it does come with caveats. You'll need at least 10 years experience of driving high-performance vehicles, as well as a clean licence (which leaves only Garlick in the running here at PH HQ). Oh, and you'll have to make half the journey on public transport, although Repairacar will foot the bill for that.
If you fancy it, fit the bill, and can bear to rub shoulders with the great unwashed on our nation's buses and trains, then the salary is around the £30k mark, and applications are open until the end of April...
