If you're heading to Le Mans next month you'll probably be aware of the
PistonHeads Le Mans meet at Le Bounty being held on Friday 10th
from 13.00. You didn't know? Well, we're glad we mentioned it again in that case.
The team at Le Bounty will open their gates from 13.00 and we'll remain there all afternoon. Parking is limited to around 150 cars, so there is no need to all arrive at 13.00, just pop over whenever suits during the afternoon.
The folks from Le Bounty will be happy to serve you food and drink (homemade pies a speciality) whenever you want them, too.
To make the meet a little more interesting Le Mans legends Gulf Oil will be offering some prizes to enable us to hand out some impromptu awards on the day. There is a good chance that we'll make the judging criteria up as we go along (it is Le Mans after all) but there will be a few set beforehand, namely:
- Best Gulf-themed car/bike/person/item
- Best Le Mans chariot (judges' choice)
- Most committed Le Mans attendees
- Special award for creativity (surprise us)
Gulf will have a few cracking models (cars, not girls) to give away, along with some clothing and various other bits of cool stuff. Judges will comprise the PH team along with Sam from Gulf and bribes are (of course) strictly acceptable on the day.
Make sure you sign up on the
calendar
if you plan to attend, and
see here
for more information on the actual meet.
Beer, pies, sunshine (maybe), Gulf and PHers. What more could you want from Le Mans?
Thanks to Gulf for their generosity and to the team at Le Bounty for being such good sports.
