Lord, the non-PH British public are an unimaginative lot. The Poirot-like vehicle investigators over at HPI have conducted a survey into the 'cars that Dad used to drive' (Father's Day not around the corner by any chance is it?) - and come up with the fact that most people seem to 'fondly' remember their folks driving around in a Cortina.
Second most popular was the evergreen Sierra, followed by the Vauxhall Cavalier in third spot. Oh dear. The full list is at the bottom of this article, a list of automotive humdrum that is only marginally relieved by the odd appearance of the Austin Healey in fourth place amongst a sea of Ford, Vauxhall and BL family motors.
Fortunately the PH world is not such a mundane place, as there are plenty of PHers out there whose parents ferried them around in infinitely more amusing machinery. And we can prove it with this 'The best car your Dad had' thread, started by our very own Garlick. Stick that in your Sierra's exhaust pipe, boring general public...
