Recently we told you about a new car meet taking place in the south-west of England called
Caring with Cars
and organised by PHer V8S.
This is an event with two great causes; not only does it give PHers a great day out, but it also raises money for a fantastic local hospice.
Well, in case that last article wasn't enough to whet your appetite we have just received an update from the organisers as the event approaches and, with over 400 cars in the display areas, it's worth highlighting a few of the more notable vehicles.
Under the Vintage catagory you can see the following:
- Duesenberg Model J (1 of 2 in the UK)
- Bugatti Type 57 Atalante (1 of 3 and a previous entrant at Salon Privé)
- Bugatti Type 35
- Bentley 'Mother Gun' recreation by Dr Tim Houlding
- Lagonda Rapier Supercharged
- Jaguar C Type
Rare and supercar displays include:
- 2 of 4 TVR Typhons that exist
- 1964 AC Cobra (which is racing at Le Mans Classic)
- Peugeot 205 GTI 1 FM edition
- Custom motorcycle built by Hairy Bush Bike Builders
While the racing highlights are:
- Mk2 Ford Escort rally car
- Lancia Delta Integrale rally car
In addition to the display cars there will also be a host of trade stands and other attractions to view including ABT-tuned Audi's and a talk on advanced driving from Mike Cooper.
The Children's Hospice at Charlton Farm is a very worthy cause and to help raise money for the charity there will be a raffle on the day with some great prizes up for grabs ranging from an Audi TT Roadster for a weekend to lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant.
