This sinister-looking Falcon is the first-ever concept car form Ford Performance Vehicles (that's the Blue Oval's Aussie performance arm), and has been on show over the weekend at the Australian motor show.
Well, they're calling it a 'concept', (no, really - it's called the FPV Concept), but it's actually more FPV grabbing every performance accessory they can find, sticking it on a top-of-the-range Falcon and, er, painting it black.
Mind you, the specification is pretty juicy nonetheless. Powering the 'black is the new black' FPV Concept is a 449bhp supercharged 'Boss' 5.0-litre V8, while power is transmitted to the road via one-piece forged alloy wheels, wearing Dunlop SP Sportmaxx GT tyres that are 8ins wide at the front and 9.5ins wide at the rear.
There is also 'track-tuned' suspension, and chunky brakes - with six-piston calipers at the front and four-pot jobs helping to clamp the rear discs. The exhaust system is a full stainless steel job, with (predictably) quad black exhaust tips.
The 'Silhouette' black paintwork has a matt black stripe on the bonnet, rear wing and down the sides, and the rear diffuser also gets a matt look.
And if you were worried about there not being enough blackness inside the car - don't. Because there's black leather coupled with an all-black dash.
It all seems pretty, well, dark. In a good way, of course. But we wouldn't recommend parking it at night on a road with no street lights - you might never find it again.
