I can say with some certainty that while all PistonHeads Sunday Service meets are popular, the one that that fills up fastest is our annual visit to Rolls-Royce HQ at Goodwood.
This year will be our third R-R Sunday Service, and I'm excited to announce the event will take place on Sunday 24th July. So cancel whatever you are doing, and head over to the calendar to reserve your parking space.
The team at Rolls-Royce have been out counting spaces in their car park, and have given us an extra 100 spaces over our 2010 visit - meaning we now have 400 slots for visiting PHers.
This is going to be a big morning in more ways than one. For those of you who are lucky enough to get your cars on the list, we will be allocating parking on a first come- first served basis with the first 200 cars parking in the main courtyard and the second 200 in the main car park. Please note that there is
outside the venue as this causes upset to local residents. Please respect our hosts by only attending if you have a guaranteed PH parking space.
Sunday Services are consistent in format - turn up, park, buy some breakfast and admire the PHers cars, and those laid on by host manufacturers, while catching up with friends old and new. However, at Rolls-Royce you also have the chance to take a tour of the manufacturing plant, giving a rare glimpse of the work that goes into creating the best cars in the world. You need to see it to believe it, but we assure you that this is a tour not to be missed.
The manufacturing plant will be open to walk round from 09.30am. Rolls-Royce experts will guide you through and will answer any questions you may have. Please note that photographs are not permitted within the manufacturing plant.
To take the tour, a charitable donation of £5 per person (recommended figure!) will be required, with all proceeds going to the Rolls-Royce House Charity for 2011, The Luke Cory Trust. Last year generous PHers raised over £2500 in donations, so thanks to all who dug deep on the day in 2010.
For those that have visited before you will remember the first class refreshments laid on for breakfast, and we'll be offering the same quality fare this year, including those breakfast baps.
In addition to the cars, we'll have around 60 members of the Riders Association Of Triumph (Washington Rat Pack) joining us on their bikes on the day.
Please note that entrance to the meet is via the works entrance at Stane Street (see map for details) and not up the main drive.

The Sunday Service starts at 09.30 and finishes at 13.00
Thanks to Sunday Service partners Adrian Flux, we'll be handing you an 'Order of Service' at the gate explaining everything that's going on during the day, as well as your Sunday Service sticker too. At the end of the meet we'll ask you to email us with your choice of 'Car of the Service' and Adrian Flux will be sending a prize to the car that receives the most votes. All details for this will be on your Order of Service.
Thanks to all at Rolls-Royce and Adrian Flux for helping to organise the July meet. We look forward to seeing you there.
