MV Agusta has announced a 'Serie Oro' Limited edition version of its F3, to be sold for £20k. Twenty grand for a middleweight 675cc sports bike? Crazy. Unless it's the new MV Agusta F3 Serie Oro. MV did the same with the original F4 750 when the brand was relaunched in 1999.
Back then, MV built a Serie Oro F4 and only 300 were sold to serious collectors, who had over £20,000 to blow on a 750.
Only 200 F3 Serie Oros will be sold and, like the earlier bike, will be specced-up to the nines with trick suspension, carbon fibre bits and its own special paint.
At £19,999, will it be worth around £9000 more than the standard F3? Only to rich collectors who have to be seen with the latest and most exclusive toy. The rest of us would surely be more than happy with the drop-dead gorgeous standard MV Agusta F3...
