Production plans for the new Bugatti Galibier 16C
have been put on hold after Bugatti (and Bentley) boss Wolfgang Durheimer decreed that the planned hyper-saloon isn't enough of an 'argument stopper'
A Bugatti source has told US blog site Inside Line that the new car needs both more space and more poke if it is to sufficiently impress mega-rich owners and their friends.
"In his opinion," the source said, "there should not even be a question about the best car in the world when you sit down to discuss it with your billionaire buddies.
"He doesn't want to build it until it's the car that finishes the argument, not the car that starts it.
"Right now, it's definitely not enough (power) and it needs more space and comfort, especially in the rear.
