As insults go, calling your customised version of the McLaren 12C the 'MehRon' is a pretty good one - although we're not entirely sure it's meant as a dig at McLaren boss Ron Dennis.
The bigger insult may be against good taste and decency, as the Merdad Collection offers up these pictures of its lurid take on the svelte, timeless lines of the new 12C. (Yes, we know some of you think the 12C's lines are less than scintillating, but that's your - and Mr Merdad's - prerogative!)
According to the eponymous company owner this is 'a groundbreaking design with a more dramatic and brutal overall effect.'
'The front is made to look wider and more aggressive; its eyebrow lines wrap around the head lights giving it more attitude, the side view graphic gives a more forward direction which suits mid-engine super cars more. The pictures also show a more muscular rear fender. The rear of the MehRon GT, with its black exposed carbon fibre, gives it a racier look. The sharp corners are more aerodynamic and modern looking.'
According to Mr Merdad, the car can also be ordered with a wide range of personalisation options to the interior, while performance upgrades include a SuperSound Exhaust system, special design Merdad Lightweight Forged Wheels and an Engine Power Increase; all ready from 2012.
As far as we know, the MehRon GT has yet to progress beyond these drawings, but what with all the publicity - well, stranger things have happened!
