You've seen the video; well here is the final bike. Yep, after
the video teaser that PH2 brought you last week
, MV has finally unveiled the final version of a bike that it hopes will form the backbone of its sales - the Brutale 675. Finally.
The Brutale 675 is essentially an F3 minus its fairing and comes with the same counter-rotating engine, advanced electronics package with eight-stage traction control and variable fuel maps, and even the same frame. But to keep it at its £7999 price tag (£2000 less than the F3) the forks lack adjustment, while the shock only gives you spring preload to fiddle with. The motor has a reduced power output of 115bhp, with the same 71Nm of torque.
The lack of suspension adjustability could be an issue (although PH2 gives it less than a year before an R version with fully adjustable forks appears). Mind you, the Street Triple, Triumph's stunning naked bike - and the bike MV has targeted with the Brutale - also features limited adjustability and it rocks!
How does it compare on price? The stock Street Triple is £6849 with far fewer gizmos - it's going to be close!
