Ordinarily when a car maker releases a '75th anniversary edition' of something, it generally refers to the birth of the company, or possibly 75 years since the arrival of a significant person.
Not in Morgan's world. In Morgan's world, so long-lived are their products that you can give a 75th anniversary moniker to a model line. Hence this, the Morgan 4/4 75th anniversary.
So what do you get should you push your cash in the direction of a car celebrating its three-quarter century? Well, in addition to a choice of red, white or black and a matt black stripe with '4/4 75th' graphic on it, you get black leather seats, a tawny ash dash, a wood-rimmed Motolita steering wheel and black 15-inch wire wheels.
Under the long bonnet you'll find a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ford motor from the Plus 4 with 145hp, 140lb ft of torque, and the ability to hit 118mph and 0-62mph in 7.2 seconds. Not bad for a septuagenarian.
It's not cheap, though. A 75th anniversary 4/4 will set you back a not-insignificant £38,750. Now that's quite a lot more than the £30,895 Morgan charges for a 1.6-engined 'normal' 4/4, but more reasonable in comparison with the £37,195 Plus 4 Sport, with which it shares an engine.
Still, Morgans have never been about practical, good-value motoring, have they?
