So, you’re Tanner Foust and Ford’s been asking you to help out
. You’ve got a couple of days off, so what do you do? Head across the border to the Nurburgring, naturally. And what do you take? Maybe the new Fiesta ST, or a Focus, perchance?
Just the ticket for lapping the 'Ring...
Well, no, actually. As you’ll see in this video, Foust’s opted to take to the ’Ring in of the biggest, most inappropriate things Ford makes – the SVT Raptor. Based on the F150, the Raptor is more about driving unstoppably quickly up the side of a mountain than tackling the complex twists, turns and undulations of the Green Hell. So watching it wobble around corners, kicking its tail out and leaving dirty great black lines behind it is good fun. It is a case of ‘less talky, more slidey’ though, as although Tanner’s undoubtedly an interesting chap to hear from, far too little of the clip is devoted to actual on-track action. Which is a pity, really, as the Raptor looks like an absolute hoot. So go on Ford - let's have a 'sequel' video which shows us the whole lap!
