For reasons beyond our control the PistonHeads Sunday Service has suffered a delayed start for 2013, and for that we apologise, but it is with great pleasure that we are finally able to announce the next round of the Sunday Service, taking place at Mercedes-Benz World on
, with space for 600 cars.
PH Sunday meets are simple in format: all you need to do is turn up (for free), park your car amongst fellow PHers, then head off for some breakfast and a cup of coffee. It's the perfect, frippery-free way to start a Sunday morning. However, our hosts occasionally like to lay on some extra attractions for PHers to make the morning even more special, and as usual Mercedes-Benz has done just that.
On the day, in addition to the fun to be had looking at PHers cars and eating bacon rolls, you can also enjoy:
- AMG Hot Lap Passenger Rides - Priced at a special PH rate of £10
- SLS AMG Passenger Rides - Available only to PHers at £15
- Under 16s driving taster session - £10 (must be over 1.5 metres tall)
- Visit the AMG Performance Centre. A new area on the top floor where you can see the SLS AMG GT3, along with a few surprises we hope to announce nearer the time.
For this meeting we will be parking along the main straight to the right of the entrance road to Mercedes Benz World. Not only is this area smooth and weather-proof, it can hold
. As per usual, we ask you to
sign up on the calendar
if you plan to attend this PH meet and by signing up you will be allocated a space on the day. While there is overflow parking in the 'normal' MBW parking areas, you will need to be on the PH parking list to gain access to the Sunday Service area.
Gates open at 09.00 and the event closes at 13.00.
Thanks once again to the folks at Mercedes-Benz World for their hospitality, and don't forget that while the PistonHeads element finishes at 1300h the facility will be open for the rest of the day so you are more than welcome to hang about for the day.
We look forward to seeing you there, and rest assured that we have a host of great Sunday Service venues lined up to take us to the end of the year
