It's that time of year again dads... Fathers' day is nearly upon us and if you're going to The Supercar Event this weekend we've got an added bonus for PHers with 20 passenger rides in participating supercars up for grabs.
Supercars and (hopefully) sunshine - perfect!
Now in its seventh year, The Supercar Event takes place at the Top Gear track at Dunsfold. As well as offering passenger rides in supercars such as the
Lexus LFA
McLaren 12C Spider
Pagani Zonda
Aston Martin DB9
, the event includes a fairground and Segway racing for the kids. Don't be surprised if adults commandeer those... A mini tank, helicopter rides paintballing also feature so there's plenty to keep all ages entertained.
The Supercar Event raises money for The Children's Trust, a charity aiding Britain's disabled children. So not only can fathers' day be spent ogling supercars and avoiding a stuffy pub lunch, you'll be doing something for charity also. Win win win, right?
Advance tickets are still on sale, with discounted rates for PHers. A pre-booked day ticket for either Saturday or Sunday is £10, for which your car can be in the static PH display and up to three passengers can gain entry too. A weekend ticket is £15.
Skiddy Caterham rides are available too
Naturally, pre-booking is advised as tickets will be unavailable on the day if it's fully booked. Regular gate prices on either the Saturday or Sunday are £15 for adults, £10 for children or £40 for a family (two adults and two children).
Now that £15 ticket unfortunately doesn't entitle the holder to a weekend of being thrashed around Dunsfold in a 458 Spider. The supercar rides are £25 each, whilst a passenger experience in a Caterham is on offer for £15. To be taken up in a helicopter is £40 for a adult.
But if you're one of our lucky 20 PHers you could score one of those supercar rides for free, simply by emailing competitions@pistonheads.com and specifying whether you'd like your ride in the morning or afternoon (two sessions in each). We'll have five places in each session up for grabs and names will be selected at random. Please note, you'll still need to sort out an entry ticket to the event if you haven't already done so.
