The build up to the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb has been pretty intensive, bringing together a lot of coverage here on PH for the very big noise surrounding
Sebastien Loeb's
Peugeot-backed assault and that of some of his key rivals.
The Pikes Peak course in all its glory
surprise surprise
setting the pace
in practice but he'll not have his own way come Sunday when the flag goes down on the race runs with
the Mini
Toyota Super 86
of Monster Tajima all out to spoil his day in the unlimited class. Practice has thinned out the field a little already, both Pat Doran (father of Liam)
crashing out
his RS200
and Cody Loveland suffering a similar fate in his
LS7-enginedHonda NSX
a Range Rover
would be a better bet next year chaps?
So, suitably fired up you'll probably want to watch the action yourself, right? Well, with the weight of Red Bull behind him and a degree of expectation on his shoulders the fizzy drinks maker will be hosting coverage on redbull.tv and there's also a feed on the official Pikes Peak website. Racing starts at 0800h on Sunday with the bikes going off first; the unlimited class is expected to go off from around 1100h. These are at 'mountain standard time', which both sounds cool and is eight hours behind GMT. So aim to fire up the computer around 7pm to catch Loeb and co.
