The UK has become Ferrari's biggest market in Europe and the second biggest in the world after North America, the company has said.
In the first six months of 2013, deliveries to the UK rose six per cent to 415, overtaking Germany's at 388. We also beat China, which is experiencing something of a slowdown for the supercar maker, dropping by 50 cars to 350 compared to this time in 2012.
Ferrari told us that the top seller in the UK over the first six months was the 458 Spider, which tallies with our classifieds where the 458 heads the Ferrari choice available with 83 coupes and 42 Spiders for sale. And since we got ourselves distracted in there we can tell you the cheapest is a Challenge race car at £139,000.
Californias now available under £100K
California sales have also been strong, with 54 available in our classifieds. They are now just ducking under £100,000 if you're interested, for example this

Ferrari's net profits for the half-year stood at 116.2 million euros (£101.2m) with revenues up seven per cent to 1.2 billion euros on deliveries of 3767 road cars.
It did say in the same statement it has cut the number of licencees to 60 (from what it didn't say). These are companies able to use the Ferrari name and hilariously include hairdryer maker Babyliss, which markets a product "with a Ferrari designed engine". Revenues from licencees were still up nine per cent though, it said.
